So, while sitting down to start the writing process this weekend I realized how unorganized I am at this stage in the process. I started looking for more articles and I am having a hard time finding current articles on women and higher education, which I feel there should be a plethora of current articles circulating about this topic. I keep finding a lot of articles in regards to this topic and other countries, but I am trying to focus more on the women in America and their history. I would like to visit the CECH library this week and try to speak with a librarian and get some help finding all of my material and then trying to organize it into what section I want it to go in. I also am having trouble making a concrete thesis statement and obviously that is a big problem since that is what the entire paper is focused around. I am just trying to narrow everything down and keep it focused.

Finally, a topic
So after MUCH thought I feel confident that I will be researching and writing about women and their role in education. After reading through all of my educational studies essays I found this topic to have the most dimension and not be totallyunexciting like “The Influence of Standards” – although I appreciate that topic I don’t think I could dedicate weeks’ worth of research and writing to it and still be a happy person at the end of the quarter. The research process seems like it may be tedious at times, but not overwhelming and will undoubtedly be interesting. I am excited to see what kind of articles pop on the library’s databases and to see where that information may take me.
